-As you research your topic, pay attention to the actors involved — who are some of the actors involved in the WHO and Covid-19 issue? Who are some of the actors involved in deciding about the Arctic and Climate Change? Think beyond states/countries and think about our class–we look at domestic actors within states as well as international actors such as institutions and groups. It would be impossible to write a position paper from the perspective of “Russia” for example–you need to choose an actor that would represent Russian interests in the Arctic or someone in the US that is concerned about the WHO’s involvement in managing Covid-19 worldwide for example. Most news articles on your topics will tell a story about the issue and if you notice who the ‘characters’ are then you can get some good ideas of what role to take for your position paper.
-Make your stance on the prompt clear. This is a position paper, not a neutral research paper. This means your paper should follow the format of something your ‘character’ would write and try and convince an audience (think about who the audience would be) of a given position. It should have an informed position and use facts and information to back up this position.
-Don’t cut/paste anything from your sources directly into your paper. This will show up on turnitin and is plagiarism. Do use at least 5 sources but write the information in your own words and cite it in the text (author, year) as well as include the references in APA style at the bottom of the paper.
Chicago style and this class is a foreign policy class to keep in mind while writing this paper. it also needs to be at least 700 words up to 1000 words. Be creative with what topic you choose and it has to relate to climate change.

Instructions OBJECTIVEThis assignment gives you practice interpreting bivariate

Instructions
OBJECTIVEThis assignment gives you practice interpreting bivariate and multiple regression results.
HOW TO COMPLETE ITYou have two (2) attempts at the problem set. Your highest score will be kept.
Collaboration is allowed, though note that every problem set is different, so the correct answer varies from student to student. You may collaborate to figure out how to answer each question, but you must submit your own individual answer.
Pay close attention to the instructions in each question.
Always round your answers using the correct number of decimal places as specified in the question. Failure to round the answer as specified will result in incorrect grading by Canvas. Only round your final answer, not the intermediate steps in your calculations.
You may start the assignment at any time and you have until the due date to submit it. The assignment is not timed, so you don’t have to complete it in one sitting. You can answer a few questions and come back later to answer the remaining ones. Canvas should save your partial answers. You will know if your answers have been saved for later if you see the message “Quiz saved at XX:XX am/pm” next to the ‘Submit’ button at the bottom of the page. Do not hit the ‘Submit’ button until you have completed all questions and are ready to submit your definitive answers. Once you hit ‘Submit’, you won’t be able to open the assignment again.
I recommend that you keep all your answers in a separate file in your computer in case there is a problem and Canvas does not save them.

When the courts acquit an officer of a shooting, why does the media not outline the justification rather than promote the unjustness of the court’s decision (whether judge or jury)?

You will develop a 500-word paper reacting to law enforcement and the community as it relates to Pennsylvania Title 18 Consolidated Statutes Annotated Section 508(a) – Use of force in law enforcement. Focus your argument on the public unrest when police officers use deadly force especially when the force involves an unarmed citizen.
Your paper does not need to answer these questions, but as food for thought:
Can the shooting be justified if a citizen is unarmed?
When the courts acquit an officer of a shooting, why does the media not outline the justification rather than promote the unjustness of the Court’s decision (whether judge or jury)?
With all the media attention about police shootings, after reading the law for yourself, did you really know when a police officer was justified to use deadly force?
Should police departments and the media educate the public about the law?
Should the law be changed and how, while still ensuring police officer safety and public safety?
Papers will be typed using Times New Roman, one-inch margins, 12 font, APA format. References are not required as this is your reaction to the law and the community’s response even when the law is applied correctly. Paper will be evaluated on appropriate response, logic of content/material flow, rationalization of strengths and weaknesses, punctuation, grammar, spelling, references, (if you choose to do so), an APA format.
